How We Met 

Amanda and Joe’s story started completely unplanned. They technically “knew of” each other for years before they ever actually met. Joe is Steven’s best friend (Amanda's cousin), which meant their worlds overlapped just enough to be familiar, but never at the same time. They were always a story away, a name mentioned in passing — familiar strangers orbiting the same circle.

All it took was one random night out in 2022 to change everything. A simple bar night out with cousins suddenly became the night their timing was finally right. Amanda — big believer in fate — started chatting with Joe — a proud realist (she says “grumpy,” he insists “selective”) who thought it would be just another night… and then Amanda walked into it.

Amanda filled Joe’s world with warmth and spontaneity, while Joe grounded Amanda with his calm presence, and just enough sarcasm to keep her on her toes.

Turns out, they weren’t strangers at all — just two people who were always meant to meet at exactly the right time.

                   The Proposal

After buying a home together in 2024, Amanda and Joe slowly built their life together in their green little home with Marshall and Goose. The next step wasn’t a matter of if, just when… as Amanda awaited the perfect emerald cut ring.

In August 2025, during a trip to Cape Cod, Joe planned to propose on a sunset cruise. The setting was perfect — calm water, golden light, and a quiet moment together. As Joe tried to set up the moment, Amanda, completely unaware of what was happening, questioned why he suddenly cared so much about getting the perfect picture. A little playful “what are you doing??” back-and-forth later, Joe managed to get her attention long enough to ask the question.

The answer always was  — yes.
